About

Completing the agricultural cycle, this project component focused on the crucial final steps of harvesting the assorted vegetables and fruits grown through Agrifarm’s initiatives. Activities involved not only the physical gathering of produce but also essential post-harvest handling, such as sorting the vegetables and fruits to ensure quality and preparing them for potential sale in the market. Examples include the monitoring of onion harvests at the Yayikoyi site in Adjumani District, managing harvests from the Mbale North Small Scale Irrigation project in Obongi District, and sorting tomatoes and other vegetables at the Town Youth and Adidi Nursery Beds in Obongi and Adjumani Districts respectively. This phase connects the cultivation efforts directly to food availability and economic opportunities for the beneficiaries.
