0 +The Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (DRDIP), managed by the Office of the Prime Minister in Uganda, is a vital initiative supporting districts that host refugee populations. Agrifarm Uganda Ltd. proudly served as a key implementing partner for DRDIP sub-projects between 2019 and 2025.
Working across districts including Adjumani, Lamwo, Kiryandongo, Moyo & Obongi, Agrifarm implemented a diverse range of activities tailored to community needs, aiming to enhance local resilience. Our work focused on boosting agricultural productivity, securing water access, promoting environmental sustainability, and building local skills.
Key initiatives included constructing micro-dams for irrigation, installing water systems like boreholes and tanks, establishing commercial nurseries, providing comprehensive support for vegetable cultivation from planting to market preparation, managing woodlots and tree planting efforts, greening institutional compounds, and conducting practical field trainings. Through DRDIP, Agrifarm’s goal was to significantly improve livelihoods by strengthening food security, increasing household incomes, restoring the environment, and fostering economic empowerment within these important communities.
